A Description of the
Marina
The California Delta
Marina, one of the most modern marinas in the California Delta, has 150
covered and uncovered long term and short term guest boat berths, with
charter boat fishing available on site. Clean restrooms and hot showers are
located right on the docks.
The Marina is located in
the center of the Delta, an area surrounded by some of the fastest growing
cities in California; Sacramento is 35 miles north, Stockton is 25 miles
east, Antioch is 15 miles south, and Fairfield/Vacaville is 25 miles west.
Driving time to the Marina from San Francisco is about 1 hour, and from San
Jose is about 2 hours. The population within a 50 mile radius is over 11
million.
Across the road from the
Marina lies the beautiful Delta Resort RV Park which has 122 RV site
rentals, 10 chalet rentals, and 75 tent camp sites. Park guests have access
to the pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, store and snack bar,
recreation hall, and Laundromat.
The Design Concept
Construction of the Marina
was completed in the Fall of 1988. Only the highest of standards in design
and construction and the highest quality materials were employed throughout.
The ultimate goal at each phase of the project was to keep long term
operational and maintenance costs low by ensuring the maximum useful life of
the permanent infra-structure and facilities.

is 4.7 acres, on which is located

The Marina
The Marina has
approximately 2,000 feet of water frontage on the San Joaquin River, and is
protected from the river by a tule berm. Approximately 3 acres of the Marina
extends under the river on land that is leased from the State of California
on a long term land lease.
Built by Meeco Marinas,
the highly regarded
Alabama manufacturer of top-of-the-line steel covered floating
marinas, the Marina was is constructed from hot dipped galvanized steel on
Styrofoam floats with only pressure treated wood used throughout for the
walkways. The extra width of the slips and the added clear height of the
roof were designed to accommodate the higher and wider boats and houseboats
being built today. The water depth around and under the Marina varies from
14 to 34 feet at mean low tide, and does not require dredging.
The Marina has 98 covered
berths and 27 open berths, 3 end ties, and 22 guest slips. Each berth has a
fiberglass dockbox with electric meter, water spigot and telephone cable.
The 36 foot berths have one 30 amps plug, while all the other berths have
two 30 amps plugs. The 150 boat berths at the Marina consists of the
